Scholastic Programs
Intramural Cross County  (Autumn)
This program consists of an introduction of the sport of Cross Country to all willing late elementary/middle school aged students, regardless of running performance. Students will meet typically three days a week for seven weeks on or near the grounds of their school (ie - no transportation requirement away from and back to school).  Students will learn the fundamentals of the sport and will work to improve their own abilities in an environment that is supportive. Distances raced for time are typically capped at 2K as per the development curve of students in that age group.

Intramural Marathon Relay Team  (Winter)
This program will train students for participation in a locally-held, full 26.2 mile marathon via a relay team. The marathon event, taking place in late March, is held on a one mile loop thereby allowing each student to complete one mile before stopping and allowing one of their other relay team members to start the next loop. Students will meet typically three days a week for seven weeks on or near the grounds of their school for training (ie - no transportation requirement away from and back to school). Students will then participate in the event by meeting at the event location on a Saturday.

Intramural Track Club  (Spring)
This program consists of an introduction to Track running events and is open to all willing students, regardless of running performance. As with the other two scholastic programs, students will meet typically three days a week for seven weeks on or near the grounds of their school (ie - no transportation requirement away from and back to school). Students will learn the fundamentals of running shorter distances at a quicker pace in a supportive environment.
*This activity is dependent on access to area on or near school grounds that would accommodate the temporary marking of a 200m track.
